I came across Baked In on an Instagram ad and I was really intrigued. I have never purchased a baking kit before as I always keep stock of any baking ingredients I always need or always tend to follow my recipes. However I was pleasantly surprised. With a special promotion the kit cost me £2.99 with a really generous promotional code for a first purchase.

They also have a loyalty scheme called ‘Brownie Points’ and so you can earn brownie points by either making a purchase, referring a friend or just simply following them on social media. You then build up points, which then turn into credits you can use for future purchases. Which I will definitely be making in the near future!

I have to also point out something I found particularly useful; I received an automated email letting me know in advance my shopping list of the ingredients I would need (In this case butter and milk for the Soft Pretzels) so that I had ample time to prepare these.

It arrived mid June and I couldn’t wait to get started! The instructions were really easy to follow and ingredients individually packed and labelled by number.

The pretzels did come with cinnamon sugar with chocolate chips to make a dipping sauce, however I decided to save these and make a savoury version.

I melted some butter and after the pretzels had been baked I poured the butter over the hot pretzels. I then made a garlic flavouring using

  • Garlic Powder

  • Salt and Pepper (According to your taste)

  • Oregano

This was then sprinkled over and then served immediately whilst they were still hot.

And yes, we did end up dipping them in some extra melted butter but rest assured I was not the only one guilty of doing this plus it wasn’t even my idea but I went along with it...
