On Monday, my mum and I went to the soft opening of H.E.A.L Eats in Bushey, Watford WD23. As we walked in, there was a sanitising station, partitions on the tables and even the option to order either at the till or on our phones which definitely made us feel assured.
The restaurant was taking part in the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme so their menu was 50% off.
As they had only just opened, they were only serving limited items on the menu, however I will be coming back to try more and already have my eye on their H.E.A.L’d burger, Sushi Poke Bowls and Sushi Donuts!
What I most liked about this place was their attention to detail. From their logo printed on their tables, to the hologram of their brand on the wall, to even how they presented each and every dish with so much care and flavour.

So H.E.A.L’s logo is cleverly made up of blue, green and pink dots; the blue represents carbs, Green for protein and Pink for fats. I love how they presented their brand and website; it’s definitely worth checking out. Here's the link: https://www.healeats.com/
So here’s what I ordered:

Throat Chakra Bowl – a smoothie bowl with frozen banana, hemp seed ‘milk’, collagen, Vitamin C & an energy enhancing beauty blend. (As stated on the menu it is finished with Granola, raspberries, acai & hibiscus petals)
This bowl was so refreshing and I absolutely appreciated how it was presented. The toasted coconut on top was everything! I would definitely order this again.

Amaze-zen Avo Toast – Charcoal sourdough loaf slices, loaded with smashed avocado, hemp seed oil & ‘massaged CBD kale’ -for your ‘anxiety/stress busting CBD dose’- sprinkled with chilli, hemp dukkah & black peppercorns.
This was amazing. It was so fresh and zingy and the crispy charcoal sourdough loaf – made on the premises-was as light as a feather!

Turmeric Tantra Toast – As stated in the description on the menu; alkalising super-green toasted sourdough loaf slices loaded with turmeric infused scrambled egg, succulent Scottish smoked salmon and topped with rainbow radishes, aromatic microgreens, a lemon wedge & black peppercorns.
The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection; they were creamy and went so well with the microgreens and green sourdough.

Cauli-Flower-Power Pizza – a light, thin-crust charcoal base, coated in tangy BBQ sauce & melted plant-based ‘mozarella’ was colourful as it was topped with toasted turmeric cauliflower & carrots, red onion & edible flowers.
I think this pizza is definitely going to be my ‘go-to’ order. It was so light and the roasted vegetables were so flavoursome. I couldn’t believe the cheese was plant based and the BBQ jackfruit added that extra pop of flavour.

Raspberry Chocnut – 100% plant-based. A rich chocolate layer topped with scrumptious, sweet raspberries & pistachio crumb on a crunchy almond base.
Let’s just say I have already made a list of people I want to gift this to! (I think you know who you are as I haven’t stopped raving on about this place!) It was so good and was the perfect way to end the meal.

So at this point, both my mum and I were pretty full, but as soon as I saw this on the menu, I just knew I had to take it away for a cheeky treat later…
Blueberry Lemon Heaven – 100% plant-based - A layer of blueberry cheesecake, with another layer of lemon cheesecake on a crunchy almond base full of healthy fats.
On the menu, all the nutritional values are presented for each dish and you get a choice of a small, medium or large portion size. The staff there also had such a kind approach and made themselves available to answer any nutritional questions and explain more about their brand.
When I left the restaurant, not only was I already planning my next visit, but I left feeling healthy and energised, ready to carry on with the rest of my day!
I honestly can’t wait to come back with my health -freak siblings and friends.
